 Shoppe Gal Miranda here excited that June is here! June is such an exciting month if you love summer, since it begins just a few weeks into the month. I love going to the beach over summer break. I am super excited about this June because I finally graduate high school. 

June is also super fun for clothes shopping because you can really get into brighter colors and white. The shoppe is full of fun colors, it is a real change of pace from winter. So fun to get to dress for warmer weather with tank tops and shorts. Hair up more often means always having earrings in which is also super fun to shop for too.

Happy February!  Shoppe Gal™ Katie here.  We hope everything had a great January!   February is one of our favorite months here in the shoppe.   It's the month of love and what better way to show you love your gal pals, than to celebrate Galentine's Day together!

Witch Season!

Happy October! We can’t believe 2021 is almost over, it felt like it flew by! We love when the weather starts to get colder because that means it’s sweater season (and sweatpants😉). 

The Doodling Bug has the cutest sweaters ever and we love seeing everyone start to holiday shop for all their loved ones! One of my favorite parts of the shoppe is no matter what season we are in, we always keep the fun colors in our clothes because who doesn’t like to rock some fabulous colors all year long?? 

One of my favorite parts of October is Halloween of course! Downtown apex throws the cutest events, like Witches on Salem! I love seeing everyone in there best witch costumes, especially when they come visit the Shoppe!  We all hope you stop by and visit us!

Witch Season!

Yay, It's August!!

    Hey y'all! Happy August! It's Shoppe Gal Caley here, and I am so excited to tell you about some of my favorite Summer items currently in the Shoppe! 🌞💗 I also wanted to let our wonderful customers know that we absolutely love to see them downtown on these hot Summer days!

One thing I love about Summer at The Doodling Bug is the absolutely adorable clothing that we sell! One of my favorite items currently is the "Smocking Hot Top." This item is totally cute, and perfect for all of your plans before school starts! 

Another exciting aspect of the month of August is Back to School!! All of our cute clothes and necklaces are perfect for new school outfits, and we have the cutest vinyl stickers for laptops and water bottles! Our North Carolina stickers are especially perfect for students going out of state for college and are in need of a super cute reminder of home!

The new jewelry we have in stock at the Shoppe is my absolute favorite thing customers have been buying recently. There are such fun and unique pieces that are perfect to spice up any outfit! Our assortment of fun earrings and gorgeous necklaces will blow your mind!

Yay, It's August!!

Sunny July

It is already July, which means we are over halfway through 2021! It is crazy to think about how far we have come over the past year and a half. July means the temperatures are nearing their peak with the sun constantly beaming down on our wonderful Downtown Apex. Whether you are planning on enjoying this sunshine that is ahead of us by traveling to the beach, spending time at the lake, or laying by the pool, we have what you need to make your time even more enjoyable and fun! 

The Shoppe Gals have been so incredibly happy over the past few weeks because we have received the cutest new arrivals that are absolutely perfect for the Summertime. These new items have quickly filled the Shoppe over the past few weeks and brought a smile to everyone’s faces. One of my favorites that are just great for the summer is our bags and wristlets. We have a variety of designs and sizes that are perfect to put some sunscreen in and head to the pool or to simply take to a post-beach dinner! Among these new arrivals have also been the cutest summer clothing pieces. A few of my personal favorites are our maxi sundress and adorable babydoll blue gingham dress! The pastel colors of each item have not only lit up the Shoppe, but also the faces of each of our amazing customers. 

This July we are all crossing our fingers for the rain to stay away and for the sun to shine bright each minute. I know it can get hot walking throughout downtown, so grab an iced coffee or an ice cream, then come cool down in the Doodling Bug. We are all looking forward to another amazing month at the Shoppe and we can’t wait to see everyone here!

June Is Here!

 

Happy June y’all! 

 Can you believe we are already halfway through the year? It’s crazy how time flies when we are able to get out of the house. I have a busy but exciting month planned, my younger brother is graduating high school and my older sister is getting married!!

The shoppe is open at full capacity and we are getting in lots of fun new gifts, clothes and more! Keep a look out on our Instagram (@theshoppegals and @thedoodlingbug) and Facebook pages to be the first to know when we get new products in.

April Showers Turning into Sunshine

Shoppe Gal Bella here and I’m here to remind you that it’s April Doodle Bugs!! The nicer weather is starting to come, along with the colorful flowers and trees. Personally, I think a little sunshine is what we’ve all been needing lately. For lots of you right now it’s also Spring Break and almost Easter weekend which means... vacation! 

The Shoppe is currently filled with tons of new, spring products that will be sure to make you smile and wish for summer. From adorable babydoll sundresses to stylish jewelry and so many other new items.  You’re going to want to come visit us and see everything. Whether you just want to do some Spring shopping or need a super cute outfit for Easter, you have to come check out our new clothes!

With the sun finally coming out more, we have longer warmer days and there are so many great outdoor activities around Apex you can try. A few of my personal favorites are walking the downtown strip and shopping through all the shops, getting an iced coffee and taking pictures throughout the town with my friends, and having a picnic at one of the many parks.

April Showers Turning into Sunshine

Finally March

Hey Shoppers! It's finally March and i'm so excited! March is one of my favorite months because the weather gets so nice, which means summer is around the corner, and you can feel that everyone get happier. You also can't forget that all the flowers start to bloom and they get so pretty!

Last March was a little interesting and crazy and lets hope we have luck on our side this March! Speaking of luck, in March we have Saint Patrick's Day! Saint Patrick's Day is such an easy going and cute holiday. It's so fun to dress up in green and gold and see little leprechauns everywhere! Green is my favorite color so it's never hard to find something to wear. If you need something green to wear, we have the cutest green tops like the Meant To Be Mine Hoodie Sweater and the Scallop Me Around Sweater, which are both displayed in our window right now!

Spring always has the most beautiful weather in North Carolina. With the weather getting nicer and nicer everyday, it's the perfect opportunity to take a walk around Downtown Apex and come visit us at The Doodling Bug®! Cant wait to see you!

Finally March

Love Is In The Air

 

Happy February Y'all! Shoppe Gal Caley here!

It's the month in which we celebrate LOVE and all of the amazing products that we have at The Doodling Bug for you to fall in love with! 

What are your plans for the month and how are you showing those you love how much they mean to you? One fun way is to leave a loved one a sweet note each morning for them to find before they head to work or school. It's a thoughtful way to show that you care and to remind them to have a happy day.  Another fun Valentine's month activity is to plan a special meal for your family or partner. You can plan a Valentine's-themed meal with a heart-shaped pizza and fun red drinks!

To accompany the fun that you're planning at your home you can incorporate some of our fun household products such as our line of dishtowels that have some pretty hilarious messages on them. What a year it's been Glitterbugs!  We are so incredibly grateful for your support of our shoppe.  Through all of the ups and downs of the pandemic, you've been here for us.  You're shopping our small business, supporting our social media posts, spreading the word about The Doodling Bug, and we truly appreciate it!

All of the Shoppe Gals want to wish you a fantastic New Year filled with all of the things that bring you joy.  May the journey to your goals and aspirations bring you fulfillment and contentment in the years to come.

Happy November!   Shoppe Gal Katie here!   Us Shoppe Gals at The Doodling Bug hope that you are happy and well.   It has definitely been a trying time with Covid-19 but we have so much to be thankful for!   We are thankful for each and everyone of you!

Welcome December

Happy December, Glitter Bugs!! I'm so excited to welcome December. The Winter is upon us and the holidays are here. The colorful leaves are still falling and giving us our last few weeks of Autumn. Enjoy it!

The shoppe has been buzzing with so many visitors this time of year. I have met people from Spain, Israel, Australia, so many from New York and New Jersey, Indiana, Florida, Texas, California and so, so many other states too! I love to see your smiling faces and hearing about the towns you are from. It's especially fun when you come in to purchase mementos to take back home with you from our sweet little shoppe.

This month, Downtown Apex will have a wonderful night of Christmas Carols and Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6th starting at 5:00 pm.

Don't forget to come and look for all of the Shoppe Gals and their helpers in the Apex Christmas Parade on December 7th starting at 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Come early and find your spot to watch this wonderful night parade. Downtown Apex will be full of excitement and cheer. The shoppe will be open both days that weekend until 8:00 pm. Well, every Friday and Saturday.  :)

What are your favorite things to look forward to in December? I love the frost on the trees and the Cardinals all puffed up and perching in their bright shades of red. I also love friends and family all gathering together for fun festivities and spending time together this time of year. Walking in Downtown Apex enjoying a meal and strolling the shops.

The shoppe is filled with all kinds of pretties this time of year for your holiday shopping, ornament exchanges, white elephant gifts, stocking stuffers, and always something cozy to wrap up in. Don't forget to stop in for something to dress up your outfit for that special occasion or just a fun day out on the town. We have something for everyone!

Welcome December

Happy Summer, from Shoppe Gal Kathleen!

Happy Summer, Glitter Bugs! I hope that everyone is enjoying their Summer. I know it has been a hot one, but we will survive! Haha!! Especially when we have pools to play in, lakes to cool off while floating and boating and our beautiful beaches to visit. Well, you have to admit, a little AC doesn't hurt either.  ;)

The shoppe has been so fun this Summer. We have revamped the sales floor several times with all of our new pretties that we get each week. I can't wait for you all to see it, if you haven't already. It seems to be just sparkling more than ever!

We have been serving free lemonade to our customers all Summer. Especially on those hot days when you have friends and family in town and are showing them our wonderful Historic Downtown Apex. It's so great when you stop in, do a little shopping, have some cool lemonade and we get to chat for a little while. It really makes my day!

I have met so many wonderful customers this summer from all over the world. I love hearing your stories and learning about where you are from while you pin our "Where are y'all visiting from?" map. The pins are getting more and more abundant each week. It's super cool to see them all shine.

I know this sounds crazy, but towards the end of last month we even started putting out our Fall products. They are selling like hotcakes. I know, I know, you don't want to think about the cool Fall weather yet, but it's upon us and it's never too early to prepare and pick up something that catches your eye instead of later when it may be gone. I know I do it. If I have to have it, then it's a done deal. I know most of you feel the same.

Happy 2019!

Holidays In The Shoppe

What an amazing holiday season it has been at The Doodling Bug. The Shoppe Gals all buzzing around putting glitter and shine all around the shoppe. Hauling Christmas trees out of our shed. Gathering all of our Christmas decorations to delight every taste.

Christmas is over, but we are still playing our fun Christmas music on the speaker. Everyone coming in is dancing and singing. It's so wonderful! We just don't want it to end.

Did you know that we offer 30% off on all of our Christmas related items in the shoppe starting the day after Christmas? Well, we do!! Even my favorite top is on discount. (I got lucky and my Husband surprised me with one for Christmas. Yay!) I think that we secretly do it, because we don't want to stop seeing all of your friendly faces during the holiday break. We want to see those smiles and your excitement when you come in and pick up the little things that you really wanted, but didn't buy for yourself for Christmas.

The Shoppe Gals and You

Our Shoppe Gals are one of a kind and you, our customers, make our lives even more delightful. We like to think that in our small, but bright, eclectic, sparkly and decadently pink shoppe, is where the Shoppe Gals make magic just for you. 

We love to welcome you with a smile and a warm, "hey y'all" or "good afternoon, welcome".  We are always there to help you with your questions and to make friendly conversation. And, don't forget we love giving stickers out to your kiddos and treats to your canine pets.

Our Shoppe Gals are a tight-knit bunch that make a point to work hard together. Constantly adding new items to the shoppe floor for every persons taste. Rearranging walls. Making new signs to make you giggle and smile. Decorating for the seasons. Updating our, Glitter Bugs email list, so you always know what will be adoring the floor next. Sending out Instagram and Facebook social media story posts, to keep you up to date daily with our everyday happenings and excitement.

It is always good vibes everywhere, inside and out. Before you even step through our door, you'll see a bulletin board with complements and good thoughts.  You're awesome, you're beautiful, and you're a treasure. But sometimes we need reminders. So grab a happy thought, slip it in your wallet, or tape it to your mirror, because we don't want you to ever forget how fabulous you are.

Today and always, we will have a special bond with our customers. Our friends. It is because of you that our small shoppe thrives and that the Shoppe Gals love our jobs so much. The Shoppe Gals and You

Oh What fun, The Christmas Parade!

Wow, last night was spectacular! It was my first Apex Christmas Parade with The Shoppe Gals. It was so much fun! I think that I just need to show you how wonderful it was!
